I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License #51229) in San Diego, CA. I offer psychotherapy and mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. I currently provide these services in North County (San Marcos). My focus of treatment is with couples and individuals seeking relationship counseling, adolescent/ young adult issues, and anxiety/ stress management.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have been working in the mental health field providing therapy since 2008. My clinical experience has been in a variety of private and non profit settings with a broad spectrum of clients. I have worked at a biopsychosocial clubhouse, adult residential crisis center, outpatient county mental health clinic, adolescent residential day treatment center, employee assistance program, psychiatric hospital, elementary school, and private practice. In addition to private practice, I currently provide clinical supervision to unlicensed therapists and students/ interns at StepForward-North Inland, a Community Research Foundation (CRF) outpatient clinic, as well as counseling for the students of University of St. Katherine. My training and work experience includes mood disorders, relationship distress, adolescent issues, trauma/ abuse, employee/student work-life balance, substance use/ addiction, and chronic mental illness.
I offer a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental place for clients to share their thoughts, feelings, struggles, and concerns. My therapeutic style is empathetic, collaborative, and client-centered. My therapeutic approach is eclectic; meaning I conceptualize and use interventions from multiple treatment orientations in order to best treat each client. I believe that clients are the expert of themselves. Therefore my role is to provide objective feedback, support, and guidance in order to help clients effectively resolve issues of concern and improve overall functioning and life satisfaction.
